O’Rourke Construction Ltd (OCL) were called out by our repeat client, this time on a 132kv cable fault in the Midlands. OCL reacted as they normally do, having trackway installed the very next day to gain access to the tower and had all plant and welfare facilities delivered to site at short notice. OCL undertook all the works from start to finish to ensure the 132kv circuit was back in commission.
The OCL team undertook various works on the project including:
- Supply of all site documentation
- Supplied all welfare facilities
- Supplied all site management and resources for the project
- Installation of trackway
- Stone crossing installation over HP gas main, under Cadent Gas supervision
- Supplied all plant, equipment & materials for the project
- Topsoil removal, bunded and sealed for future reinstatement works
- Installed MOT haul road in preparation for the new cable installation
- Excavated, exposed and removed the redundant cable
- Excavated and concreted the new joint bay (battered excavation)
- Supplied all cable plant, equipment and accessories
- Supplied scaffold
- Installed the new cable from the Joint Bay and elevating up the tower
- Reinstatement of the joint bay and cable route, followed by the topsoil reinstatement.
